We don’t like to think about it too much, but bad things can happen to us, and if we’ve got a mortgage on our home or property and we can’t make the payments then things can get stressful, and your home might even be in danger of repossession in extreme cases, or you could end up in unmanageable debt.
Doesn’t take a lot of explaining, it pays out in the event of a death meaning that those who rely on your financially aren’t left without a home or forever financially disadvantaged.
Critical Illness Cover
This is an option you can add to life cover which pays out a lump-sum if you are diagnosed with one of a range of Illnesses which have reached critical stage and might mean a long time off work.
This cover means that you will be less likely to get into financial trouble as a result of being unable to work due to accident or illness; when this happens it pays a tax-free monthly benefit so you can keep on paying your bills. I particularly like this for my self-employed clients who have nobody to back them up; but actually, most people don’t get long-term financial support from work and could do with this type of cover.
This isn’t an exhaustive list of the types of cover available, but what you need depends on your particular life situation.
I will talk to you about what might be suitable, and most importantly, how much you can afford, because whatever package you go for it has to fit your budget comfortably.
Call me for an initial conversation about your needs and requirements, I won’t ever charge you for this service, the insurance companies pay me to advise you ?
As with all insurance policies, conditions and exclusions will apply.
