Mortgages

I am a whole-of-market

…mortgage broker which means I can look across the market at a very wide range of Banks and Building Societies in order to pin down the cheapest and best lender for your mortgage, including some lenders who don’t offer deals direct* I have teamed up with Stonebridge Mortgage Solutions, who give me access to this wide range of lenders, and who also help me with my compliance with Financial Conduct Authority and let me concentrate on the advice. They are registered and authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.

I find the best deal and do the whole application for you from start to finish so you never have to deal with the bank direct or wait for an in-branch appointment.

Call now on 0191 486 2627 to get you application submitted or if you haven’t found a property yet, I can carry out a decision in principle, so you are pre-approved and ready to go once you have found your ideal property. Life Insurance

Once you have your mortgage…

and bought your dream property, you will want to make sure that if something bad happens to you, that it doesn’t harm your and your Family’s financial futures. I will look at a range of the best Insurance providers in the UK to put together a package that suits your needs and, more importantly, your pocket. There are a number of different products available, here are some examples of the main types and their benefits:

Life Insurance
A very simple product, it pays out a lump-sum of money in the event that you die; most policies will also pay out if you are diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Serious Illness Cover
Serious Illness Cover is a bit like Critical Illness cover but it covers a much bigger list of illnesses but pays out less if you are diagnosed with one of them.

Income Protection
Income Protection is a stand-alone policy, which is not included in your life insurance. It pays out a tax-free monthly payment in the event that you are unable to go to work.

Critical Illness Cover
This is an optional extra to your life insurance policy; it means that the policy will pay out in the event that your are diagnosed with one of a list of Critical Illnesses. Click the icon above to see more about Critical Illness cover from the Association of British Insurers.

Family Income Benefit
Again this type of covers pay out in the event that you die, but instead of paying out a lump sum, it will pay out a monthly benefit; this cover is great where you are not confident that those you leave behind will know what to do with a big lump sum of cash and how to invest it wisely. Family Income Benefit works very well alongside ‘mortgage protection’ life insurance, so one policy pays off the mortgage and the other policy pays out a monthly sum to cover the bills, thus ensuring that your family will never have to leave the family home.

Building & Contents Cover

Protect your home and everything inside!

There are hundreds of insurance companies out there who offer Building and Contents cover, but they don’t all offer the same thing. I will be happy to advise you on high quality cover for your situation. Some examples of different covers are:

Building Cover
Your mortgage lender will need you to have this ready before you can go ahead with the purchase of your property or re-mortgage, and your Solicitor will have to check that the building is covered for the right amount.

Contents Cover
Bear in mind, your building insurance does not cover carpets, curtains, laminate flooring and personal possessions as these are considered ‘contents’, so make sure you take account of this when you are setting up your contents cover.
